Ruth Jopson was born and raised in America; the state of Indiana to be exact. Forever having an adventurous streak, she moved to Perth, Australia a few months after matriculating to work with a Christian non-profit organization. During her 4 years living in Perth she traveled 15 other countries. The colorful cultures, once in a lifetime experiences and amazing stories she heard from locals were what sparked her interest in photography.

The next step was attending photography school in Kona, Hawaii where she learned from some of America’s best photographers. Its’ a very long story, but it was in Hawaii that she first made contact with her South African husband. After a whirlwind romance, they were married in January 2007 and she began her life in South Africa.

Ruth has been privileged to photograph clients in Hawaii, the main land of America, Australia and of course South Africa.
